This project involved the architectural and structural design for the expansion of an existing Montessori daycare center in LaSalle, Ontario. The primary objective was to provide a fresh, modern look to the new addition while minimizing renovations to the existing building. A key design challenge was to ensure that the daycare could remain operational during construction, which required thoughtful planning to avoid disruption to existing classrooms. Structurally, the project involved careful integration of the new construction with the existing structure, including tying new walls to the original building while preserving the integrity and stability of both.
